General
Overview
Most
of us are not database experts but many of us will be required to handle
data and/or databases at some time or other while employed at Environment
Canada.
Unless
data is readily available and easily understood, it will not be used
and the weeks-months-years spent collecting the data will be wasted.
This
module is intended to provide a general overview of databases. It will
introduce to you, in general terms, some of the concepts and techniques
common to database design, setup and maintenance.
